Sears Roebuck Shotgun Serial Numbers
Today I took the shotgun by the range to try it out on some clays, and went ahead and took the lever gun to the 50 yard rifle range while I was there just to make a Sears day out of it.
I took some boxes of both Federal and Remington target loads and it cycled everything I fed it with no problem. The adjustable choke looks a little wonky, but is actually super handy. I ended up hitting more clays with it than with my 870.
From a standing position on a windy day at 25 yards I got two inch groups with the lever gun using the factory iron sights with 150 grain Federal flat nose. Not going to win any shooting competitions, but plenty good enough for deer in the Tennessee woods.
Finally, since this is Arfcom, throwing in a pic of my KISS BCM lightweight midlength that always goes to the range with me regardless of whatever else I am there to shoot.
Sears model 21 pump shotguns were made by High Standard. TheHigh Standard model designation is the K2011, also known as theFlite/Sport King. They were manufactured between 1960 and 1966. TheK2011 was a 20ga shotgun, specifically the Flight King Deluxe. HighStandard guns are characterized by Series (such as K2011) and thenby catalog number which further defines exact features, barrellength, etc. The Sears Model 21 in .410 was a version of the K-410series Flight King Field shotgun, catalog #8450.
