5.1 Dolby Digital Telugu Songs Average ratng: 4,4/5 6995 reviews

It was around the year 2001 when I first started to take an interest in mixing and producing music in 5.1 surround format.

I have created 5.1 mixes of some of my past tracks from various of my solo albums, and I have also created a surround music DVD called Soothe.

My surround music DVD is mixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 and is playable on any standard home DVD player (special DVD-Audio player not required). The DVD is available to buy from my own CD-shop and from CDBaby.

You can play the below AC3 files on your PC or Mac using the program VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc). You can play the WMA files using Windows Media Player.

Important instructions for playing these surround music files:

If you have a 7.1 surround setup or even more speakers than that, please switch your speaker configuration to 5.1 before you play these files. The files are made for 5.1 audio and if your speaker configuration is set to 7.1 or anything else, they will not sound like they are meant to. I have a 7.1 setup myself and if I play these tracks while the speaker configuration is set to 7.1, I just get some mono sound in all the side and rear speakers. Switch your speaker to 5.1 setting for the correctly defined surround sound.

5.1 Surround Test File

I've made this short 5.1 audio file so that you may play it and check whether your speakers are set up correctly for playing these files. You should hear 'front left', 'center' 'front right', 'rear left', 'rear right' from each of the respective loudspeakers, and then a kind of 'mumbling' from your subwoofer (LFE). To download the 5.1 surround test file as WMA (Windows Media Audio), click here. To download the 5.1 surround test file as AC3 (Dolby Digital), click here.

'Voyager' - 5.1 mix

This track is brand new and will most likely be included on my next CD. (Be sure to 'Like' Bjorn Lynne at Facebook to be informed when the CD is released later this year!). It's a rather long track at over 14 minutes, and I worked hard on this track so I hope you'll like it. I've made the track available in WMA (Windows Media Audio v10) format, and in AC3 (Dolby Digital) format. (Hint: The WMA file sounds better than the AC3!).

To download 'Voyager' in Windows Media Audio v10 format (approx. 45 MB), click here. To download 'Voyager' in Dolby Digital AC3 format (approx. 45 MB), click here.

'Secret World' - 5.1 mix

This track is taken from my CD 'Beneath Another Sky'. To download this surround music track as a Dolby Digital AC3 file (for Creative Labs Playcenter, Cyberlogic PowerDVD, or any other player or application that can play AC3 files), click here: Secret World AC3 (approx. 18 MB). To download it as a Multichannel Windows Media Audio (WMA) file for Windows Media Player, click here: Secret World WMA (approx. 22 MB).

'Starfield' - 5.1 mix

This track is taken from my CD 'Beneath Another Sky'. To download ac3 surround file. (approx. 22 MB), click here.

'The Fairy Woods' - 5.1 mix

This song is from my CD 'Witchwood', an album of melodic and peaceful fantasy music and mood music. In this song I have used multiple acoustic guitars, which lends itself well for panning out across the whole surround area. Make sure you position yourself in the center between all 4 directional speakers, so you get an even, all-surrounding audio experience. Sit back, close your eyes, and dream youself away to a fantasy world. To download ac3 surround file (approx. 22 MB), click here

'A Lifetime of Moments' - 5.1 mix

This track is taken from my CD album 'Return to Witchwood', released in 2003, and available to purchase here. This is a CD of acoustic & electronic, melodic, fantasy inspired music. To download ac3 surround file (approx. 15 MB), click here.

'Jooli's Song' - 5.1 mix

This is a song taken from the Bjorn Lynne CD 'The Gods Awaken'. This music was originally made in normal stereo (The CD is a normal music CD), but was later remixed to 5.1 surround. To download ac3 surround file(approx. 22 MB), click here.

'Signals' - 5.1 mix

This is a song taken from my CD 'The Void'. This music was originally made in normal stereo (The CD is a normal music CD), but was later re-recorded from scratch, especially for 5.1 surround. To download ac3 surround file(approx. 22 MB), click here.

'Sun Willow' - 5.1 mix

This track is from my CD 'Soothe', which is a 70-minutes calm and melodic, relaxing musical journey. This CD is available both as a normal CD and as a surround music DVD! The 'Soothe' DVD is a 70-minute surround music odyssey for your home DVD player. To download the 'Sun Willow' ac3 surround file. (approx. 18 MB), click here

Hi. I'm new here and to be honest, after reading some threads about surround music files, I felt compelled to join just so I could share some of the music I've created in the .ac3 dolby digital format. Here is the link to the site.

Is there any particular reason why you decided to use Dolby Digital instead of DTS?

The biggest reason that I chose Dolby digital would be that I presently own software that does .ac3 encoding, so if anything, it's economic.

If you're interested, I can recommend a free audio encoder called LameXP. It's able to generate multi-channel DTS encodes using its DCA option

Windows Media Player supports .ac3 playback with a plugin. I'm not sure that's the case with DTS.

When it comes to playback of just about any audio and video format, I can highly recommend LAV Filters
